Ryan, I agree with your critique on Obama, but framing trumps East EU policy as standing up to russia is laughable. The comments meant in this video also refer to trumps recent interference with US aid, causing extremly dire shortages on the Ukrainian front. Voting trump ABSOLUTELY is a vote against Ukraine. And I really hope Ryan never find out, but I will link this video under every future content if trump is eventually elected and does abandon ukraine. Stop commenting politics if youre unaware of the facts.

Trump has straight up said he would force ukraine to make a deal or he would cut off their supplies... ya that doesnt sound very supportive to me. he said the same about russia too but thats like holding a gun to someones head and telling them they have a nice pair of shoes and you REALLY want a pair just like it. Than when someone asks where you got your new shoes you say you "made a great deal"

I've been living in Ukraine for over 8 months and I could tell there was something off with his Ukrainian. Would be one thing if he was speaking Surzhyk, but him speaking in pure Ukrainian, it definitely doesn't sound natural. Also you dropped the ball on Trump, as you said Ryan, you should probably stay out of US politics. Plenty of damn good reasons why a Ukrainian would want to burn an effigy of Trump. Luckily no one here has time or money to waste on such a stupid thing, especially if their ass is close to the front. Those 6 months of limbo really worsened things here, things were looking very bleak just a month ago. People died because of Trump wanting a political win by not allowing the bill to be passed. Avdiivka was taken, Russia has pushed harder, and their gains could have been a lot costlier if Ukraine had the aide package passed last year. I appreciate you taking the time to gather the people to make this video to help stop the spread of disinformation. It is a powerful tool of the Kremlin, and you are doing good work in that field. I think you should stay in that lane for sake of credibility.

I have some friends at university who just yesterday took part in the protest at the University of Amsterdam, among which foreign relations master students, who are perfectly aware that Hamas is not the good guy here, but also do not support Israel. They appreciate the (moral) complexity of this conflict but what they are protesting is the human rights violations. But unfortunately, they are mixed in with some 'less nuanced' protesters from outside of the campuses. Although you showed a video of an interview, I do not think this represents a student majority, since a critical part of being in university is learning to be a critical thinker (although I am speaking from a European background and I know this sometimes differs in the US, from state tot state and from university to university). Furthermore, among a lot of university students and teachers there is a certain romanticism to the Vietnam/Cold War era protests, in which they certainly held the moral high ground and had a definitive impact. I tend to view these protests in the same light. Thought I should put that out here because I feel like the students are being portrayed as mindless robots.

Forgetting all the politics there’s a lot of Ukrainians that speak Russian as their first language most of them are on the side of the Russians, but there are still quite a few that are on the side of the Ukrainians so who knows we put that out either way it’s not very good so I don’t think it matters That much. Even as a psychology major I didnt think about it from that sociological view and honestly I am kind of disappointed in myself. I often find myself caring more about the truth compared to anything else and I will ignore all the other aspects that might be causing an issue. Purely based on the fact I find it deplorable to protest in favor of hamas and chant "death to America" or "death to Israel" but I think you might be correct on the community part. I started college a year before covid hit and now am graduating as all this is happening and the Isolation definitely took its toll on me hence why it took me like 5 years to graduate. I haven't been apart of any group like that in years. I've honestly forgotten what I feels in some ways. So I could see why some people might be kind of desperate for a sense of belonging and yearning to be apart of something bigger than yourself. Something I've noticed about my generation is we stand up for what we think is right and we put our all into it. That how my parents raised me so in a way it is unsurprising to me that so many young people would take to protesting. However with that being said I think it is probably a bear minimum level of civic responsibility to know what you are protesting for even if you dont know the entire list of demands. If anyone is still reading thank you for reading my not so insightful insight.

I take the point that we should all be able to agree on international policy based on objective interests, and agree it is necessary to appeal to MAGA advocates, but I would put a line at playing Sebastian Gorka´s voice and image as legitimate analysis. Reading out the text on the screen is as far as I would go. Good to show even he sees a bit of objective reality, but his overall read on international relations is dangerous and he should not get the visibility and legitimation. , but let´s be serrious about legitimating dangerous people.
